As part of our media product we wanted to create a realistic
looking car crash scene. Leading up to the moment of impact we intend to use a
mix of sounds, fast paced cuts and flashes to create the most realistic crash
as possible.
Once the car has ‘hit the tree’ we will need to recreate a
real car scene, issues we may occur when doing this include capturing the look
of:
- Air bags
- Smashed Windows
- Debris
- Smoke
- Spilt oil
How will we create this scene:
- We intend to use sugar glass rather than using real glass to scatter beside the car.
- We will use smoke bombs which we have already purchased to recreate the steam that would be given off in real life.
- We are currently in the process of looking for stickers that are used by other minor production companies that can be placed on the window to create a ‘cracked’ look.
- We are currently carrying our research and experiments to try and recreate a fake air bag.
- Spilt oil will be difficult to recreate and we feel that is an unnecessary extra, so therefor will not be recreating this.
- For debris we will use plastic purchased from
scrapyards e.c.t.
